US dollar drops slightly on Jobless Claims - 19.4.2012

U.S economy shows signs of reducing improvement since the Jobless Claims fell 2,000 to 386,000 for the week ended on April 14th, while the forecast was to fall to 370,000. The jobless claims figure that the Labor Department reported today may show that the previous falls in unemployment may calm down and progress in the labor market appears to be not as strong as expected.

The US dollar against the Japanese Yen dropped on the Jobless claims to the 81.45 level while earlier was trading at the 81.75 resistance level. Traders are expecting later for today the Existing Home sales and Philadelphia Manufacturing data.
