The USA Fiscal Cliff Is The Key Driver - 29.11.2012
Asian trading on Thursday was marked with growth. Tokyo Nikkei 225 gained almost 1%, following American indexes showing growth a little earlier on countings on the agreement concerning the “fiscal cliff” that may be reached among the U.S. parliamentarians. According to the Reuters report, The speaker of the House of Representatives - John Boehner looked forward to reaching a compromise in the negotiations in order to avoid the "fiscal cliff". Barack Obama said later that the agreement can be reached before Christmas. The S & P 500 rose by 0.79% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.83% at the end of trading on Wednesday.
The growth in US dollar prevailing in the currency market yesterday evening was replaced by the downfall. Australian and Canadian dollars, as same as Swiss franc British pound and euro approached to the recently set local maximums again. However, the morning trading was going along relatively calm. Us dollar vs. Japanese yen was stabilized a little higher than 82.00 and it will probably stay within 81.00-83.00 till the parliamentary elections in Japan, scheduled for the middle of December.
Today is expected to be plenty of events. We are waiting for the data on the labor market in Germany coming at 12:55 CET, and the Eurozone Business Sentiment later. The GDP data (the third quarter second estimate), Jobless Claims, and the Housing Market statistics are expected from the USA.
