The technical analysis of the AMD stock price chart on 4-hour timeframe shows #S-AMD,H4 is declining after returning under the 200-period moving average MA(200) which is rising still. We believe the bearish momentum will continue after the price breaches below the lower boundary of Donchian channel at 164.14. This level can be used as an entry point for placing a pending order to sell. The stop loss can be placed above 171.55. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved every day to the next fractal high, following Parabolic indicator signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level (171.55) without reaching the order (164.14), we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were not taken into account.

BlackBerry announced about collaboration with Advanced Micro Devices to boost the development of an advanced robotic systems platform. The new robotics platform will be based on hardware solutions powered by AMD’s Kria K26 SOM (System-on-Module) and will aid in sensor fusion, while augmenting high-performance data processing and real-time control. It will also aid in reducing latency in robotic applications. Wider application for AMD’s products is bullish for AMD stock price. AMD shares added 0.6% on the day after the collaboration announcement. However, the current setup is bearish for AMD stock.
